Our 2nd annual Ladybug Release on Thursday, April 24th was a huge success. The students released 120,000 ladybugs, learning about the benefits of using natural predators rather than pesticides. See the photos from the day and view the video produced by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Saturday, April 19th; 9am - 3pm: Edna Spring Cleaning with the Beautification Team!

Sunday, April 20th; noon - 3pm: Garden Work Party! Learn all about composting.

Monday, April 21st: Book Swap - trade a book read for a book not read; Recycled Art Project - Bring in recycled materials to create "Mustang Horse Murals"

Tuesday, April 22nd: Sun Power! Students will learn about solar energy and how to protect themselves from the sun's damaging rays.

Wednesday, April 23rd; 1pm - 4pm: Garden Work Party! Refreshments will be served.

Thursday, April 24th; 8:30 am: LADYBUG RELEASE DAY! Over 120,000 ladybugs will be released in our organic garden. Special thanks to Loop 24-Hour Fitness and Sloats Garden Nursery.

Friday, April 25th:

11am: Garden Sing and Picnic Lunch! Join us in our annual Garden sing, followed by a short ribbon cutting ceremony for the new KG/1st Grade play structure. Bring a waste-free lunch to picnic with your child(ren).  Revolution Foods will provide pizza "tastes" for all.
      
Noon - 3pm  Plant Sale! Proceeds from the plants started from seeds by our students will benefit our sister garden school, Ziwani Primary in the Tana Delta, Kenya.
