Parent Education Event: "Understanding Relational Bullying," February 2

Join us in Park School's auditorium from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to hear Nicholas Carlisle, MFT, discuss the important topic of relational bullying. Mr. Carlisle is a child therapist and executive director of No Bully. Having experienced bullying firsthand in the middle years at school, he is committed to creating school cultures where every child feels included and valued by his peers. He will discuss "relational bullying" which occurs when students disrupt another student's peer relationships through leaving them out, gossiping, whispering and spreading rumors. Mr. Carlisle will talk about some skills parents can develop to help their children through the inevitable social and emotional challenges of friendships and peer relationships. This event is a co-presentation of ITAV, Mill Valley's Special Education PTA, and Edna Maguire's PTA. To RSVP or get more information, please e-mail Ross Buffington (ross@itavmv.org).
