What: Open Mic Jam Session at the Annual Edna Family Dance Charity Event
When: Saturday, March 1, 6:30pm
Why: Raise money for charity and live out your rock & roll fantasies
Here's how it'll work:
- Opening the evening will be Greek Wooden Buddha, the classic rock band featuring Edna student, Maddy Toy's dad, Tommy.
- Headlining the show will Chasing Maya, the amazing rock band made up of students ages 9-11, including Edna's own Ryan and Reed Felder!
- Closing the show will be an Open Mic Jam Session for Edna parent and teacher musicians, singers and performers who can get up on stage (backed by Greek Wooden Buddha) and rock the house!
- Already committed to jam: Mrs. Harvey, Mr. Frierson & Mr. Stachon!
Interested? Contact Tommy Toy IN ADVANCE to discuss your song choice(s) to give the band enough lead-time to get ready. Deadline is Feb 15!

We have set up this year's partnership with Botanical Interests to raise funds for the garden through seed sales. All we have to do is purchase, and urge friends to purchase, flower and vegetable seeds through Botanical Interests using the below link and we will automatically receive a portion of all sales generated:

Their product really is unique. Their seed packets aren't just paper envelopes with seeds in them; they have HUGE amounts of information - enough to make even the novice gardener successful. The packet itself is gorgeous - they use very detailed painting instead of photographs. The seed quality is surpassed by none and is UNCONDITIONALLY guaranteed. They have over 500 varieties, all chosen with growing for the home gardener the primary focus. 120 of the 500 varieties are certified organic. All 500 varieties are untreated with pesticides. There is something for everyone. For example, they have Catgrass (for anyone with cats). They have a drought tolerant flower mix. They have herbs such as many different basils, cilantro, and more. They have lettuce mixes (which are quite expensive in the grocery stores). Don't hesitate to review their website for additional tidbits of information. They are a family owned business, not a multi-national corporation so they are passionate about their product and it shows in the quality.
So start planning your garden and urge your friends, neighbors and relatives to do likewise and remind them they are helping our Children's Garden to grow!
